Chariots of Mercy is dedicated to nurturing, empowering, and educating children in East Africa to help them achieve their full potential. We firmly believe that access to education is a fundamental right for all, not a privilege reserved for a select few.
In 2013, we became aware of a widespread epidemic in sub-Saharan Africa that continues to this day. Many parents and guardians are forced to give up custody of their children to orphanages because they cannot provide the most basic necessities: food, healthcare, and schooling. It’s troubling to see even children with living, healthy family members suddenly orphaned.
We Facilitate Safe Spaces
Our mission is to address these critical needs by providing food, medical care, and educational support for children. In 2014, we began by assisting 31 children, ensuring they could stay with
their families instead of being placed in orphanages. By the end of that year, we were supporting 81 children. By 2016, our network had expanded to include 201 Chariots of Mercy partners, collectively supporting over 200 children with daily meals, education, medical care, and spiritual guidance.
